The Skinny
*Spoiler Alert*

The intro...
Kuja has in many cases been said to "be similar to Sephiroth" or "remind me of Kefka." Well, here's the skinny on how similar these three formidable figures really are.

Kuja's description...
Kuja is by far the best villain ever. Sorry for the bias... ^_- Anyway, you probably want to know why he is so cool. First of all, he's glamorous. I mean, look at some badly designed villains like Bowser. Is he as glamorous as the almighty Kuja? I think not. But I don't want to get *too* ahead of myself. Anyway, another reason Kuja is so cool is because of the way he dresses. NO! Stop right now! I do *not* have a *thing* for transvestites! I just think Kuja's style is cool because it's so original. And, of course, there's always the fact that instead of a sword, which is the typical villain weapon, Kuja uses magic. He also throws his hands up in the air when he laughs. Very evil. Oh! Wait! How could I forget? Kuja speaks in poetry! That is definitely his best trait. He's so fun to quote! Yay!

Sephiroth's description...
Sephiroth is another truly rocking villain. Not only does he kill off a main character halfway through the game adding immeasurable depth to the plot, but he has a really wicked way of his whole body convulsing when he laughs. He's also clearly insane, a major upside. And who wouldn't love a pyro villain? Sephiroth is incredibly mysterious, and he seems to be powered by something greater than himself at points throughout the game. This not only adds to his character, but to the whole story. And, although he has a sword, it is incredibly long, which makes it original. I think.

Kefka's description...
Kefka is insane. That's his biggest trait. Not only that, but he's murderous. He poisons a water supply. That's just bad. He's also pretty cool looking, because he is easily mistakable for either Zorn or Thorn from FF9. He also has by far the coolest laugh eva! And you can even *hear* the greatness of the laugh! Yay! Not much else to say about him, because I've yet to beat FF6, but this is his basic character that I see so far.

Now, for the comparison!
Kuja and Sephiroth are definitely more similar than Kuja and Kefka. Also Kuja's name sounds suspiciously like that of Kefka, Kuja and Sephiroth both have long shiny hair. They were also both manmade as the counterpart of sorts to the main hero of the story. Wow, pretty alike. However, Kuja was made to be the weaker of the two creations whereas Sephiroth was made to be the stronger. Hmm... Sephiroth kills Aeris. Kefka kills lots of people. Kuja kills Queen Brahne and Garland. Okay, so they all kill people... Right... At points in FF7 and FF9, it could be assumed that Sephiroth or Kuja respectively are not actually the main villains. Either Shinra, Garland, or Queen Brahne could feasibly play the part of the villain. But in FF6, Kefka is the villain. Period. Kuja and Kefka both wear make-up, but of very different styles. Kefka looks like a jester while Kuja looks like a *cough* woman *cough*. No offense Kuja! Hm... The whole thing boggles the mind...

And in conclusion...
Each villain is his own man! Meeting adjourned. Or is it?...
